Default Info about Superior

I used to live in Boulder in the early 90's so I know it fairly well (it hasn't seemed to change much) but now my husband and I are planning to move back to the area. I've searched the internet and there seems to be little mention of Superior. I hear a lot about Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, Longmont, and Broomfield but Superior is rarely talked about as a "suburb" of Boulder. Can anyone tell me more about the town? My husband and I checked it out only briefly because during our recent visit most of our focus was on Boulder but when we saw what we could get for the money in Superior we spent the last two days of our trip looking at houses there and driving around. We liked how close it is to Boulder and also Denver. Anyway...I'm wondering why Superior is so rarely talked about. Is there something wrong that no one is telling us? We know about the structural issues with some of the Rock Creek houses but other than that we haven't heard any other negative things. Are we missing something?

no, you have found a jewel. Superior is a nice bedroom community, and no well oiled PR machine promoting growth.

We lived in Superior and just bought a house in Louisville. We love both areas. The people are friendly and the communities seem to blend together. Both share the same high school, Monarch, but they do have different k-8 schools. I think Superior is a beautiful and wonderful place to live.

I'm also interested in Superior and Louisville...Micktooth, will $225-$250 get me anything decent in those two areas? I've looked around, seems sparse but not entirely impossible at that price range.

Superior is pretty, but the people think they're "superior" to others. If you don't live in the homes worth at least $700,000 good luck. I discovered this first-hand during a visit this summer, and I have a friend who lives there and says it's a tough area to fit into. She'd move back to Louisville in a heartbeat.

In Louisville 225-250 will get a 1500-1800 sqft townhouse, also there is some townhouses across from Albertsons that are bigger, there is one there for 250,000... you can probably find an old (1910-1940) small (1000sqft if you are lucky) house near rr tracks.

Superior is not much better. If all you need though is 1-2 br, you can get that in this price range.

Micktooth or anyone that can't help.. Just curious why you left Superior for Louisville. I'm struggling trying to figure out Rock Creek as well and thus came upon this string..
