Default Firestone / Weld County -- PHOTO TOUR

I took these pictures for a fellow who's moving to Denver & considering property in Firestone. In case anyone else may be interested in this area, I've posted them here, too.

I apologize in advance that the pictures aren't very high quality. I took most of them w/ one hand while driving. I couldn't really stop and get out to explore like I wanted to. Darn Neighborhood Watch! (The cops started to tail me, they were convinced I was scoping my next "job"!)

Exit from I-25

"Main drag" of Firestone, turning left from I-25 N

Meadow Vale Farm Subdivision (The residents here have a wonderful view of the mountains.)

The Cove at Meadow Vale Subdivision

Nearby Cows

Elms Subdivision (The streets were exceptionally wide, very nice!)

Weld County, Colorado, is one of the few places I know of that has 1/2 numbered roads. They also have 1/4 numbered roads, though I don't quite remember where.

Nice pictures. It seems a very quiet area.

I don't think you were actually in Firestone. I think you were in unincorporated Weld County just east of the city limits of Longmont (not far from the big complex of softball fields east of town). Firestone is several miles EAST of I-25, and I think you were west.

Yeah, tfox is right, CR 5 1/2 is west of I-25, so at least part of this collage was taken in unincorporated Weld County.

Hmm...I've never been good at reading signs!! I should start paying attention. I apologize for the inaccuracy.
