Default My job is in Boulder

Got a call today that my job will be in Boulder.

Now I am looking for an area to rent.

Which way during rush hour would be more less of a hassle from traffic during rush hour.

Residing in Loveland to Boulder or Westminster to Boulder?

I plan to be in a town home or condo b/c I need a garage to store bikes, toys and junk over flow

Unless you want to be as far away as Loveland or Westminster, you could start your search closer to where your job is. Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, Niwot, Broomfield, Longmont, Erie all have town homes and condos for rent. Westminster is much closer than Loveland if you must choose between those two. Not much of a difference in direction of traffic during rush hour; the traffic is heavier coming into Boulder in the morning, heavier leaving Boulder in the evening, in any direction.

Suzco,

ok, I'll look into these towns you mentioned.

I am willing to pay up to 1300.00 for a condo or townhome. I can purchase a home but I want to scout the areas. I already had realtors tell me to buy now b/c the interest rates are low. Forget that!! I learned my lesson on my 1st home and where it was located. So as everyone says rent , research and then buy. I swear some realtors, I thought they are suppose to help. Now it's like, Gimme money and this is a great neighborhood...thanks bye,bye...(lol)

You can rent a two bedroom condo/apartment within Boulder itself for 1300/month - townhomes for that budget are also possible, but require more of a hunt. I haven't seen too many condos in Boulder with actual garages - assigned parking in a carport or parking lot are more common, with possible storage space in the basement of the complex. Rents are cheaper in nearby cities (Superior, Lafayette, Longmont, etc) where you would be able to find a SFH for 1300.

Agree with all the above. Westminster would be a busy commute, and Loveland would be a long one. You might also try Broomfield if you're looking east.

Longmont is close to Boulder and is a LOT less expensive. Out of all choices, that would be what I would recommend. I work in Longmont and there are people that live in boulder (i.e. bought a long time ago) and will even bike to work.

Longmont, CO does not look like a bad solution. it says its about 17 miles away.

How is Longmont in general? Good mountain views, trails and family fun/recreation? Thanks

Yes, all of the above. It is a little farther from Denver, if you are interested in doing things in the city.
