we are moving to colorado and are interested in the town of lyons. we have a 7 year old daughter who has a cochlear implant so we are in need of a good oral hearing impaired program nearby. how is the st. vrain school systema? are there alot of jobs in the area? and what is the average price for a 2 bedroom house or apartment for rent in the town of lyons? i lived in loveland 25 years ago, but i think that has probably grown alot and we would prefer a small town.

Lyons is a small town, pop. around 1600. You can find info here on city-data. You may also want to check the Lyons Chamber website for relocation info: Lyons, Colorado - Lyons Community Information

Nearest jobs would most likely be in Boulder or Longmont. I would imagine that Boulder would have a hearing impaired program.

Since you have a family, I would advise getting the job first, even if that means dad/mom needs to come out first and look. I would google the school district to find out what kind of hearing-impaired programs they have. Also google The Children's Hospital, which is in Aurora, for medical care.

What kind of job(s) will you be seeking? Lyons is a wonderful little town, but it isn't an employment hotbed. Furthermore, competition for jobs all along the front range is generally fairly intense.
