These three towns basically form a region North East of Denver, andalong the I-25 corridor. Houses here are still reasonably priced. The area seems to have a lot of growth potential. There is a lotof new business construction taking place along the Interstate inthis region. What are your thoughts on this general area? The only negative I see is the distance to Denver. I don'tthink the commute is that far or difficult comparatively.

Businesses and subdivisions are popping up all over the place and values promise to increase over time. I highly recommend the area--if you're patient enough to deal with a relatively boring area that is growing like crazy. There's still not too many people there and despite the growth it is pretty quiet. If you can deal with that....go for it. |

This is certainly the area and direction of the growth for the next twenty years. The area between I-25 and 85 going north is the future, as northwest, southwest, south, southeast, and east are going to run into barriers limiting further growth.
In the short term, though the foreclosure and sub-prime mess we're in has hit Weld and Adams Counties particularly hard. It's really difficult to know when we're at the "bottom" of this current distress, so my advice would be to rent for a year or two in that area before buying a home. Likely as not, in a couple years, prices there will be even lower than they are today, so you'd be advised to wait. |

we bought in firestone.. the only place we could find a 3000 sq ft house on 1/2 acre + for under 500k.
My wife works near golden and the commute isn't too bad. 40-45 minutes in the morning a little under an hour coming home Great area and the potential seems unlimited! |

For some reason my post was moved from the Denver forum to the Boulder forum. The three cities mentioned are definitely not Boulder. More Denver.
