Default LOL!! Boulder needs to go after real criminals

A story about a woman who was fined for dying her poodle pink to raise awareness for breast cancer. I got a good laugh.

Well, this is an exception and one that should not be fined. However, overall, I do agree with the law that spray painting or coloring animals is a bad thing. As I said, in this case it is an acceptable exception.

Most people up here in Boulder Co. think this is nonsense as well. It was in the Daily Camera (Boulder newspaper). It sells papers. BTW, we were watching the St. Patrick's Day parade on TV and saw someone with a dog dyed green. We said (in jest) the owner should be arrested.

I'm sorry but just why isn't it acceptable to dye your dog if you want to as long as you use a product that does not harm the dog?
Has Colorado lost their collective mind on this one or what?
I have a friend who participates in each and every parade the town I grew up in has and she dyes her poodle for every parade, red white and blue for July4th, Pink for Valentines day, orange for Halloween.

Just how is that anybodies business?

Do you guys not know what organic beet juice is? Its not going to hurt the dog. I don't know why you can't even use the food colorings I have heard some people use for this very thing, its the same things they put in the dogs food and in people food.

^^^ Apparently there is some dispute over whether the "guardian" as they are called in Boulder, used something other than beet juice.

What a bunch of idiots.
Its one thing that the city gave her a ticket but what kind of people live in Boulder that they even called to complain to begin with?

An animal control officer issued the ticket. There were several complaints. The dog was in the owner's beauty salon. I neither agree nor disagree with the police in this case, just pointing out a few facts.

Nothing but morons who have nothing better to do with their time, but complain about useless things.

Meanwhile, there's crime happening, and nobody does anything.
