Default Today Show in Nederland This AM!

I am watching Al Roker from the Today Show in Nederland. He is also in Lake Eldora ski resort. I've never been there, it looks very beautiful!

Rats! Wish I'd known! I've skiied Eldora. It's a nice area close to Boulder. The RTD goes up there, so it's popular with high school kids who are old enough to ski w/o adult superivison, but can't drive or whose parents (like me, lol) won't let them drive in the mtns in the winter. It's the home ski course of Nederland HS. My friends from DC said it is as nice as some of the more popular eastern ski areas.

Fun, wasn't it? And for a very worthy charity as well.
I thought about going up there until I realized they broadcast on east coast time. No way would I be there at 5 am!
Eldora is a great "little" ski area. It's small but not too small, doesn't get too crowded, doesn't cost as much as the big resorts. There is enough terrain to keep anyone happy. I learned to ski there. I skied more than 20 days there this season despite the unusually crappy weather.

It's just too bad that when Al was leaving he thanked "Eldorado"...

By unusually crappy I hope you are referring to the winds we had this year - other than that Eldo had many great snow days this year...Say no to I-70

Yes, I meant wind. Eldora was closed many days this season because of it. Also, there were not as many blue sky days as I am used to. (Yes, I am spoiled.) But it didn't stop me - I skied 21 days there this year. The snow was great!
