Pearl Street - The Old and the New -- PHOTO TOUR
Nice photos! There are a lot more people out and about on pearl st during the summer, it is much quieter in the winter. I live in Boulder but almost never go to pearl st (unless someone is visiting from out of town) as there aren't really many 'everyday shopping' places and only a few asian restaurants (mostly Japanese).

It's so interesting to see how different photographers capture different images of the same place. I work right on Boulder's Pearl Street Downtown area, so know the area quite well. Nevertheless, your pictures had me reorienting myself in my head since I ususally see these same buildings from a different angle or from across the street. Very nice to see a new perspective of familiar surroundings. Thanks for posting!

Beautiful pictures. Boulder in the winter looks wonderful! Alot less crowded and much more peaceful. Great job!

Averie, I see you found the lovely candy store! Did you go in to take a look? It's awesome!

You bet I did! It was crowded, though, everyone was elbowing everyone else to get to the ice cream. They even played "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" in the back of the store, complete with movie theatre chairs.

They were playing "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" (much better than C&TCF in my opinion) when I was there about two weeks ago.

I am so glad that you take all this time to show your pictures. It is much appreciated. I have less than three months to go, and looking at the pictures is giving me butterflies in my stomach! I also notice all the people in the pictures with their hats on and hoods up. Brrr! I am hoping by the end of march it warms up just a bit. I have lost my tough winter skin since moving away from WI.
