Default trading spouses: Boulder

On CMT right now, is "Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy"...one mom from Boulder...one from the coast in Massachusetts. Anyone watching this? Or seen it before?
I know these shows are all about ratings and pitting the "good mom" against the "evil" mom, but...
This woman from Boulder is really annoying...a wierd mix of super-rich, proudly unfaithful, gossipping, new-age, flaky whatever. I heard of Boulder as having many trustafarians, hippies, etc. Is this woman pretty typical of the "other" Boulderites?

Yes. Everything you see on TV is 100% true and perfectly reflects real life.

come on Fuzz...like I said... "I know these shows are all about ratings and pitting the "good mom" against the "evil" mom, but..."

I know things are easily twisted. Especially for tv. But I have heard conflicting reports on Boulder. I'm just asking if a lot of these types of folks exist there? Is this woman a pretty typical Boulderite? Or is she just typical of flaky folks found almost everywhere? Is the typical Boulderite a lot more "salt of the earth"?

It's a cartoon stereotype of a Boulderite. Kind of like the cartoon stereotype of Colorado Springs Mom would carry around a 50 pound bible with which she'd whack people over the head.

There's a grain of truth behind every stereotype, of course -- there are a lot of religious people in Colorado Springs, and there are a lot of new-age hippie types in Boulder. But you shouldn't read too much into the stereotype.
