Default Denver-Boulder Area

My family is considering relocating to Denver-Boulder area. We are not sure which area would be best to live in and would like some feedback. My husbands job would be north of Denver.
I have a 13 and 15 year old and am looking for a high school and middle schools that challenges them academically. We are open to Public and Charter schools.

Where north of Denver is the job? The exact location would help us help you.

Well, I would start by looking in Broomfield, in that case. Broomfield is in several different school districts; most of the city-county is in either Boulder Valley or Adams 12 SD. Both have good high schools, Legacy and Broomfield High.

Does anyone have any specific experience with the high schools in this area? We don't have to live in Broomfield.

Several of my neighbor's kids attend Legacy and they all speak highly of it.

Are you looking to buy or rent? Price range? Important things in a neighborhood and house for you? If you are a little more specific board members can make more specific suggestions.

My kids went to Monarch High in Louisville, about 10 miles from Broomfield High. They did gymnastics at Broomfield High for 7 yrs total. I had very positive experiences with both schools. Monarch is rather "preppy". BHS is more diverse. Kids from both these schools go to good colleges. I would start house hunting in Broomfield; if you don't like it, go farther out.
