Louisville Award
OK, I can't find this little article on the Daily Camera's website to post a link, so I will quote a couple of sentences:
"The Louisville Downtown Street Faire has been awarded the 2008 Governor's Award for Downtown Excellence for Best Promotional Event in Colorado. The Street Faire runs nine Friday nights June through August and features live music, vendors and children's activities."
The Governor's Award recognizes communities for efforts to revitalize Colroado's historic downtowns and neighborhood business districts.
I have been to the Street Faire; it is a really neat experience. In one hour, the Louisville Labor Day parade will start. Every politician in the area will probably be there. It is supposedly the second largest LD parade in Colorado.
