Thanks so much for all of the great advice! I am not scared away by liberalism at all, it just irks me when poeple don't like you just because you might not agree with everything they believe. It does seem that there is a great sense of community, and hopefully they are more accepting of children now, we would love a place with lots of young families. We are going to visit schools this week so wish us luck, and I will be checking back often for more advice/opinions.

There are fewer kids per capita in Boulder than in surrounding communities in Boulder County. Boulder is more college student oriented. That is not to say there are not kid activities, just that it's not a terribly kid-oriented place. If you're looking for other kids, move to Superior! Good luck!
