Hi Faith,

I missed your post originally but it just popped up for me. Have you found a dressage trainer yet?

Do you have your own horse? That makes a difference because a number of trainers in the area only take clients with horses and do not have their own lesson horses.

If you don't have your own horse (or even if you do!) I recommend Hallie Sabo at Joder Ranch in north Boulder. She is great! I really learned a ton while I was taking lessons from her.

If you have your own horse, I've heard that Petra Warlimont at Somerset in Longmont is just terrific. I haven't ridden with her but I know people who have.

Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Hi I don't seem to be able to work out how to PM you.... !! I do have my own horse but not our own transportation so we really wanted someone who would come to us to teach... know any mobile people?! I do know of Petra, have seen her ride and she is awesome but I think she is too busy to travel to people.....

Default Dressage Trainer

There is a dressage trainer in the Longmont area who would love to talk with you and see if you and your horse are able to work with her. Her name is Emily Lasher and she is a member of the RMDS. Please e-mail me if you are interested. My e-mail is dressagestep@gmail.com.

I really like Hallie Sabo for dressage. She used to be at Joder Ranch, but it looks like they don't have training or boarding there now. I think she's with Spring Tree Farm which would be worth checking out. Do you want a stall for 450? Or would you be happy with a run or pasture board?

I've also heard awesome things about Petra Warlimont at Somerset Farms. She does dressage and jumpers, I believe. I've been to a show at Somerset and it seems like a very nice facility, but I'm not sure what boarding costs are.

Triple Creek would also be worth looking into.

Cam, welcome to City Data. Here's an older thread on horse matters in the Boulder area.

If you're new to the area, look in the COLO or Denver INDEXes under the topic of equestrian for links with lots of info.

I hadn't heard of Emily, but she's at Green Tree (according to google)... My friend boarded her horses there for a while and it seems like a pretty low key place (which I like).
