I am considering a move out there, but need a general idea of a pay rates for nurses. Looking for a spot in the Emergency Department, have all the certs., 4 years experience, but I am not yet a CEN. Anybody know the starting rate per hour at BCA.

Just found out that there is a relatively new hospital Good Samaritan in Lafayette, and the same questions could be applied. I am sure the pay rates are similar, but can anybody speak to their work experiences and/or visits to either one of these hospitals.

I've been an RN at BCH for 5 years, I work in a specialty position. I started here with 5 years experience. The base pay you could expect would be around 29-31 dollars/hour; if you work a night shift position you will get a 25% shift differential which would land you in the 36-38 dollars per hour range, you could also expect an extra 2.50/hr if you work in a charge position. There is also an additional 2.50/hr for weekend work. The BCH website has 2 ER positions posted at this time. Good luck, hope you find this helpful.
