Default Hopkins Pascal fight

Believe it or not, Hopkins was aggressively boxing. This should be the fight of the year.

Quick summary:
Pascal actually knocked him down in the 1st and 3rd round. The 1st round should not have counted because he hit Hopkins behind the head. The 3rd round incident was a real one and could be classified as flash knock down. Hopkins was not hurt in either knock down.

Hopkins recovered beautifully. He looked great by body punching along with numerous straight rights. Pascal looked like a beat man from rounds 5 though 10 but then finally he woke up the finally 2.

The fight ended in a draw though I had Hopkins as the winner. 2 judges gave it a draw and the final judge saw Hopkins as the winner. Even press row showed Hopkins as the winner. I think Hopkins got robbed. But, in the end, what comes around goes around because I have seen numerous Hopkins' fights where he won some that he should have lost.

Regardless, I highly recommend everyone catching this fight on rewind.

Good description. I will make sure I watch it. I frankly didn't expect Hopkins to do much after his last fight with Jones.

That was a much better fight than I expected it to be. Hopkins was aggressive and coming forward landing solid shots and combos all night. I thought BHop won as did one of the judges, but because of the two knockdowns it's hard to outright call it a robbery. Even though one of the judges that ruled it a draw was from a neutral area (Belgium I believe), I still bet that BHop gets the decision if the fight is here in Vegas.

Seriously? That's the way that I felt about BHop after his fights against Jones, Ornelas and Winky Wright. However, I thought that he acquitted himself well last night. If anything caused might have caused the fight to be a bore, I'd say that it was Pascal and all of the running that he was doing most of the fight.

I'll have to see if I can catch a replay of this fight. I swore off watching any of his fights after his disgraceful acting performance in the Jones fight. Actually, I swore him off after the Calzaghe antics, but got sucked back in to see if Jones had enough in him to win. Now I might just watch his fights again in hopes someone knocks his racist, overrated ass out.

CoolHand68, this time there are no tricks he actually fought hard. First time in years that I was impressed with his performance.
