Default A young Cuban prospect: Hairo ''el maja (the snake)'' Socarras..

He came to the US at the age of 12, and WITHOUT any amateur experience turned pro early this year. Here are 3 of his televised fights in Telemundo:

His pro debut:

Hairon Socarras vs Carlos Bruno - Round 1 - YouTube

His 2nd pro fight:

It is not avaiable on YT, but in boxrec he won in the 2nd round via TKO.

His 3rd fight:

El Maja Socarras vs Anthony Fraguada.avi - YouTube

His 4th fight:

Hairon Socarras vs Eduardo Melendez (1st round knockout) - YouTube

His style reminds me so much of a young Mike Tyson. What do you guys think?

Socarras's next fight is next month (on the 14th) at the Civic Center in Kissimmee FL. It's on a friday so it's probably going to be televised in ESPN's Firday Night Fights. Great exposure for the young kid .

Yea it is.

His first fight on National television in only his 5th pro fight. Not even Gamboa got that chance when he had 4 fights. This is a sign that this kid will be something special .
