Now that Cotto has become a 4-time champ, and captured the real deal middleweight championship (something Trinidad could not do), who do you rank higher?

Trinidad's best victory came against De La Hoya in a controversial decision. Oscar gave that fight away. When Tito moved up to 160 he failed against Hopkins. I think each if them are about equal in terms of talent, with Cotto getting a slight edge.

Trinidad's victories over Maurice Blocker, Yoriboy Campas, Fernando Vargas, Ricardo Mayorga, etc., were IMO, more exciting than his quasi-questionable win over De La Hoya. This is why I voted for Trinidad over Cotto.

To his credit, Cotto has slowly become a far second favourite of mine after Trinidad. But my favourite PR boxer will forever be (hardly ever mentioned) Victor "Luvy" Callejas for his back-to-back brutal wins over Loris Stecca.

You can't forget Wilfredo Benitez and Carlos Ortiz when talking great Puerto Rican fighters. I think Benitez had enough to beat both Tito and Cotto at welterweight.

Between Cotto and Tito, I'd have to give the edge to Cotto.

Tito. I like Cotto, but what win does he have to compare to De La Hoya?

By the way, Wilfredo Gomez, Hector Camacho, Edwin Rosario, and Wifred Benitez should be in the running.

Gomez has shocking power.

I liked Trinidad, but his win over Oscar was more about Oscar losing than Tito winning. Oscar had the fight won but he chose to coast on his bicycle for the last few rounds and it cost him.

I forgot about Wilfredo Gomez, definitely one of the all time great Puerto Rican fighters. Camacho was very talented but built his reputation fighting big names past their prime. Fast hands though.
