I was surprised to hear this. Roger Mayweather has diabetes and appears to be swiftly declining with dementia.

Maweather ate the extreme southern protestant diet for most of his life. Three food groups - high fructose corn syrup, fat or salt - all prepared via frying. A deadly diet enough to kill an athlete.

It is unfortunate but these American ethnic groups should look to other more established, superior cultures for their culinary inspiration. With a diet adjustment their people won't have to collectively suffer these diseases of excess.

Do you think diet would really have that much impact on the mind of a man who was in elite physical condition (compared to 99% of Americans) until his late 30s? My guess is that his mental condition has more to do with getting his head punched for 30 years.
