According to promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank, a possible super-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is unlikely for 2010. When it comes to negotiating a fight with Mayweather, Arum sees too much trouble coming. Mayweather's constant trash talk, mostly regarding his position to grab the lion's share of the money, is enough to make Arum pass on the stress of trying to make it happen.
Mayweather is not willing to split the money down the middle at 50-50. He wants a higher split, and so does Manny. Mayweather blew off a rematch with Oscar De La Hoya in 2008 after Floyd felt De La Hoya was getting too much money in the second fight. Mayweather, because he won the first fight, wanted a better split.
