Do you mean warm sunny days or just sunny days. Because it gets pretty sunny in the winter, cold but sunny. Even more so as the sun reflects off of snow.

This is pretty accurate: https://weatherspark.com/averages/29...-United-States

Lot of good detail at above link.

A simpler answer is an average of 188 days that are mostly sunny, or about 10% less than national average of 205.

The tricky part is with "most sunny" vs. "partly cloudy". Some see sun are happy enough, some see clouds and wish there were none. Perspective plays a role.

Bozeman is not all gloomy & overcast in the winter as some Montana spots can be.

I would say it would be very unusual to go 2 days in a row in winter without seeing the sun. On my opinion, sunshine makes winter bearable.

We lived in Oregon and were super down with all the hazy/drizzly days (and the fog).

Moving to MT I think at this point I would never go anywhere without my sunglasses - winter or summer. I wear dark colors in the winter and with the sun am rarely cold. When it is cold, the fact that it isn't humid added to the sunlight means I am much warmer here than in Oregon.

It is by far the sunniest place I've ever lived.
