I'm wondering why Palm Bay gets such bad feedback? Some people speak of it like its the plague! Always telling people to RUN when they are asking about it? I'm very curious as to why? I've lived here for 2 years now and really like what I encounter on a day to day basis. There are people from all walks of life really. We have great families and good people here. Thats the great thing about it. You can live on a street with a Doctors family, A mechanics family, and a Police officers family and its great! Everyone is pretty laid back and seems to have a good sense of community living here. I've lived in titusville (a real dump imo) and melbourne (pretty close to it). And the kind of neighborhoods you can drive by in both places are nothing close to Palm Bays worst streets which are mostly in Southern PB and some of NE too. There are neighborhoods in Melbourne, Titusville, & Cocoa that look like something out of a third world country! So, I'm just here asking for your opinions on Palm Bay?

Hmmm. What area is without those kind of people though? Palm Bay has a significant amount of residents. Just like any large city you will attract some rif-raft. But, I dont think its the plague of a place like people picture it to be thats all.

Supermarket massacre rings a bell also (think it was 15+ years ago).

Palm Bay's residents and quality of life has steadily been on the rise, but turn the clock back 5-10 years ago the place was a circus freak show

That was one grouchy, crazy man who didn't like kids stepping in his yard and is not a true representation of the city itself.

BTW that happened over 26 years ago.

It also showed what a great place PB is to live in. There were many heroes here that night that risked their own lives helping total strangers.

Palm Bay is totally family oriented and has never been a circus freak show. Though we did have a circus that came to town and while giving rides to children their elephant went on a rampage and had to be shot.
It used to be a quiet little town and now it is still just a quiet town with more people.

Neighborhoods and traffic remind me of Port St. Lucie with different street names.
