Stay out of barefoot bay if you move there. the palm trees put up a good facade.

Default River grove

I have lived at river grove II for 2 years and I think it is a great place to live. There are some chronic complainers but you have those kind of people everywhere you go. I just let them talk and let it go. Most of the people living here are nice. Its quiet here and crime free compared to any city I can think of and I've lived many states and cities. I highly recommend it.

Default River Grove Village I Micco Fl

Does anyone have any up todated info on River Grove I? I am looking at a home for sale here and want to know if all the problems are still not rectified. The owner did tell me a little bit about the water(they use bottle water to drink). I have not checked out the pool yet. The homes look very well kept up. He also said park owner was buying up homes in disrepair and fixing them up to sell. They want the park to look good.

Do they have any activites in the club house?

I have just recently moved to River Grove 2 and I'm very pleased with both the park and my neighbors. I have heard some people complain about the water and I understand why. There is a yellow tint to it and no I don't drink it, but I was concerned enough to have it tested (by a company wanting to sell me a $16,000 unit) the only issue found was higher chlorine levels than their filtered water.
The club house is clean and open for use to all residents. The pool is always maintained. I admit I haven't been here long, but I'm happy with my choice.

It is very frustrating to read so many negative comments on River Grove II without seeing anything current to ascertain possible new ownership and/or resolution of so many issues. Leaves one to assume the place has gone completely downhill. I was also considering buying a home there but now I'm thinking the water is disgusting and not drinkable or able to be bathed in; rules are not followed or enforced, the roads are a mess... and I won't be able to get insurance on the place. Question answered. I'm not buying there. But now I see why the units are so intriguingly affordable. Can't really figure out what the monthly rental pays for though since according to comments the pool and grounds are also a mess and there is trash everywhere... Drunks shooting from rooftops? Nice.

We bought a home in River Grove II in April of 2015.It seemed to be a nice quite place.The home next door was vacant!!!!!!
Not anymore.
When you drive into the park the signs say "This is a retirement community" "55 plus" "No dogs over 30 lbs" "Speed limit 15"
Forget them all.We found there are probably more people under 50 than over 55.This is not a problem but it is false advertising.The park is full of large dogs,some of which are very aggressive.
About a year after we moved in they sold the vacant home to a man that claimed to be single.A month later he moved in his girlfriend and her 14 year old son.The park owners gave him permission.Then he moved his son in that is in his 20's.They have two very large dogs that bark and growl at everything that goes by.The yard is a jungle getto.It looks like an overgrown barn.(We had nicer barns in Tennessee}
The owners keep telling us that this man has been evicted.This has been going on since June of last year,but he keeps building junk out of pallets and bring in more plants.(In big ugly black plastic pots,not planted)
If you're thinking of buying ion River Grove II I HAVE A DEAL FOR YOU! Just drive through you won't have any problem knowing where I live.
