My eight year old is our only school aged child now and his education and comfort are my concerns. Do you think I can get in this week (knowing school is out) to meet anyone? What would be the proper procedure and who to call? I was just going to drive over and knock on the door, but I figured there might be a better way. (Of course we do plan to visit again when school is in session as well).

We knew going in to this week, that it would not get just the beach and pool. Any suggestions would be helpful.
School starts on the 12th. Teachers and administration will all be in the schools now. Teachers report back on the 5th to work in classrooms, have meetings, and for registration days. School offices are usually open all summer, though.
I advise just calling each school and see if a meeting can be arranged.

Just an FYI for anyone interested...... here is the page for Brevard school documentations that returning or new students will need to enroll. They have definitely toughened up on residency since I was teaching.
