right now I'm paying 1800 a month renting house and real estate prices are crazy in our state. Also climate over here not good for me.
To me this would be scary not having a job lined up. Having 3 big dogs might also be a problem finding a home to buy. Not everywhere allows that many or big dogs. You definitely will need a fence and shelter for them if not indoor dogs.
Since you have cash to buy and could put a lot down as a down payment I would think you could qualify for a conventional loan. People moving down do it all the time if they have a good credit score.

What kind of jobs will you be looking for when you get here? Have you checked to see if salary will be anywhere near what you are making out there and if jobs in that field are hiring? It took our last neighbors who moved down from the DC area to find their first jobs and both ended up changing 3 times because of working conditions and pay before they gave up 8 months into their rental contract and went back to Virginia.

Without a lot of money to buy, I am thinking a mobile home might be cheaper but most dom"t allow 3 dogs.

Ana I live in Port St John and it takes 45 min to hour to get to Orlando depending on where you're going. If you'd like, you can email me and I will see what I can do to help you. I'm a transplant myself but lucky enough to have family here
