My wife and I are interested in the St. Andrews Manor development near Suntree. It's just north of Pineda in between 95 and Whickam. I believe it is currently zoned for the following schools (per the public MLS map):
Elementary - Longleaf (but currently near the borders of Suntree, Sherwood and Viera)
Middle - Johnson (but very close to DeLaura border)
High - Viera

Of the current schools, Longleaf and Viera both have high grades on greatschools.org but Johnson (middle school) does not have great ratings.

Just curious what people know about the development, schools and surrounding area. We like that it is close to Beachside and has easy access to 95.

Hi jjphillips48.
Our family will be moving end of June and I was wondering if you ended up buying in St. Andrews and if you did what do you think of it?

Thanks.

Our family is also considering purchasing a new home in St Andrews Manor. Does anyone on this forem have any opinion regarding its location and or schools? We have a young child that will be Elementary School age in the near future, but the school district map indicate that this community will attend Longleaf (C rated). The closer and more convent elementary is Suntree with a better school rating of (A).

Thanks,

I can walk to St. Andrews Manor from our house. It is a good area. My children go to Suntree, but I wouldn't hesitate to send them to Longleaf.

St. Andrews Manor is very nice but the school choices are not the best. Suntree schools like Suntree elementary, Delaura &Viera are great schools. Longleaf use to be great but is has been going downhill since the school boundaries changed. I would still be ok sending my kids to Longleaf but Johnson is not a good school.
I grew up here and went to Johnson and Eau Gallie and they use to be fine but with the boundary changes and new Suntree Viera schools they have gone way down and I would not feel comfortable with my kids going there.
St. Andrews isle, sawgrass and sawgrass key would be a much better choice being in the Suntree school district. I like the homes in St. Andrews manor and considered moving there as well but settled in sawgrass key instead for the schools. Love it here, great neighborhood with nice families and kids.
If your kids are high school or very young like kindergarteners you are probably ok. But middle school age I would not move here unless you could get them into a private school or choice school like Viera Charter.
If you want new construction and good schools Viera would be a better choice.
To pay the high price of living in Suntree and not get the benefit of good schools would be a huge let down for me.
