I don't see a thread specific to that area, so is the Brevard County thread the closest option? I don't see a thread for Volusia County. I want to start researching real estate in Port Orange and Daytona Beach since it appears I will be coming there a lot more often to visit a new grand daughter.

You should try to get a board started for Volusia/Flagler Counties. If there have been enough questions asked on the Orlando,Brevard, Ocala, Jacksonville, and the general Florida forums, they might add one. Not sure how many are needed but that is how Brevard got one a few years ago.
