Hello,
I am graduating from the University of Illinois this May and working for FPL in Brevard County, starting in August. The 3 areas I will work at are Melbourne, Titusville and Cape Canaveral. I have a girlfriend that lives on the Southeast corner of Orlando, and I would like to buy or rent a place that is convenient to this too. I would be grateful if someone could offer me useful insight on an area with a younger crowd (age 22-29 or so). I would prefer to live close to the beach, but not so close as to experience ridiculous insurance due to hurricane risk. I am also looking for good advice on whether to buy or rent. Is there anything else that would be useful to know as well? Thanks so much for reading this and helping

most convenient to SE orlando and near a fun crowd would prob be cocoa beach. AIA is quick to the beach line which goes to orlando (45 min) however, insurance is BAD pretty much everywhere, taxes are too
we live in a condo near cocoa village which is a neat little area..........some nice restaurants and bars in walking distance. our taxes are grandfathered in bec we've been there for 10 years so when we move our taxes will prob triple
titusville has the highest taxes.
it is a good time to buy though if you can swing it.
