Hi. I'm currently looking into Satellite Beach, Fl for my teenage daughter and I. I'm a single parent, so I don't know if that would make a difference to people in this area and my daughter is biracial. We think the area's beautiful, we absolutely adore the beach and Satellite High School seems like a good place for my daughter to relocate.

What I'm wondering is- Would we be accepted or cast out? I've dealt with this problem in many different areas and I don't want my daughter to feel uncomfortable in her High School or just around town. Any opinions? Should we look elsewhere?

I wouldn't think it would be a big deal.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm white as Wonderbread, my wife is Mexican, we live in Tallahassee, which is much more culturally Deep South and more rural than Satellite Beach. We've lived here together going on 13 years now and *never* had a problem, or even heard a comment.

Out in the rural areas you might get some looks, but you would be suprised how many interracial families there are even in these rural areas.
