I am hearing bad things about Palm Bay Fl regarding crime etc. Is this true? We are moving in the spring to Melbourne, Vero Beach or Sebastian but I though Palm Bay would be an option. Is that not the case? Too much crime?

There are good areas and not so good. Like any fairly large area you will have a mix where some streets will be better than others. My advice is to go there in person and see for yourself. Many find Palm Bay great. I own a couple of properties there and rarely if ever had any issues except when one was vacant and my AC compressor was stollen. They cought the person who took several during a brief period a few years ago and that was it. Other than that, it's been fine. But you need to see for yourself. A few blocks to the left or right may not look as nice (cars parked on the grass, uncut lawns, etc) so drive around. But overall, Palm Bay has come up in price and I think that gas brought more new builds and improvements in the last few years.

No matter where you look, there maybe crime. I suggest when you have a place that you are looking at, call the PD for the city in question and ask about any problems in that area.

Try Bayside Lakes it’s the newer side of Palm Bay south of Malabar. That’s all

Not true. Yes, some parts are seedier than others, but this isn't compton.

I live in NW palm bay for about 9 years, and haven't had any issues.

According to crime stats, the NE and NW are actually the safer parts of palm bay (if I'm reading the chart correctly).
