Lightbulb An affectionate disposition...

"An affectionate disposition not only makes the mind more peaceful and calm, but it affects our body in a positive way too. On the other hand, hatred, jealousy and fear upset our peace of mind, make us agitated and affect our body adversely. Even our body needs peace of mind and is not suited to agitation. This shows that an appreciation for peace of mind is in our blood."- His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Affection(Compassion) is a natural result of awareness of how interconnected all beings are. It's what walking the path is, and a revolutionary way of living that will change the world.

Then perhaps "affection" should be seen as something more on the order of caring attention.

Kerby W-R...The Dalai Lama is absolutely correct and what I love about what he says is that one doesn't have to be denominational in any way to appreciate and practice what he says in our everyday lives.
