I am curious about the fact that most of the Buddhist figures except Shakyamuni Buddha are also depicted in the form of female version.
LIke Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is depicted in female version in Chinese Buddhist tradition etc.
There are no males or females. Physical body manifestations are only physical manifestations of male aspect or female aspect of the same I-ness, or mind stream, as DL calls it. It was quite common to portray buddhas in neither male or female form, what makes them look "feminine". A buddha is a progressed I-ness that aligned feeling (female) and desire (male) aspects of sameness.
Bodhisattva Samantabhadra is shown in Chinese art with feminine attributes and wears dresses similar to Kuan Jin.
You understand the difference between a female and "feminine attributes", right?
Samantabhadra is not a colored being with two eyes, etc. Samantabhadra is the unity of awareness and emptiness, the unity of appearances and emptiness, the nature of mind, natural clarity with unceasing compassion
I am sorry I don't think I understand the meaning of Feminine attributes.
I hope you would enlighten me in that aspects.
