31st and 39th out of the 50 largest metros isn't terrible, but it's nothing to get too excited over. We're still in the bottom half. It is interesting that Rochester is behind Buffalo, as many folks seem to be under the impression that Rochester is the place to find a job upstate. I personally commute from Rochester to Buffalo for work.

I wonder what the rankings would be if they expanded to the top 100 metros? I know that Syracuse has been gaining jobs in recent months too. I did notice how both areas shown improvement, while many, if not most of the other metros have shown a decline.
I moved here from Virginia, this ranking makes perfect sense to me.
