Just got out of the Air force and moved back to Cleveland. I was looking into moving to Winnipeg, Toronto, or Montreal but that would take a while because of the Visa process.
So I was looking for a place in the US and Buffalo seemed like a nice change. I wanted to know more about Buffalo in the areas I've listed below.
Cleveland seems like a city that caters more toward older people, I'm 21. Does Buffalo cater more towards younger people and how?
I LOVE night life, and going out and meeting new people. In Cleveland you're not likely to meet new people when you go out, are the people in Buffalo more friendly and out going?
What is the female to male ratio like?
The best thing about Cleveland is its very low cost of living. How is the cost of living in Buffalo? How much would an apartment in the heart of downtown cost? What's the cheapest I could pay to have a nice place still close to downtown?
I love how large Cleveland is, lots of tall buildings and many places to go. How does Buffalo compare in population density? Is the downtown portion bigger or smaller than Cleveland?
Buffalo Urbanized Area population rank #38 density 2,663.50 people per square mile.
Cleveland Urbanized Area population rank #21 density 2,761.40 people per square mile.
You might like the Elmwood Village, Allentown and North Buffalo areas of the city. Nightlife spots are open until 4 AM and you are close to Canadian cities with good nightlife too. This might help: The Elmwood Village Association
What about the job market? I'm a computer technician and I'm looking for work. It seems to be very dry in buffalo. Cleveland had a crap ton of jobs for me, If I can't find anything in a week in a half I'll have to consider moving elsewhere

Buffalo because we have hockey and 4am bar/club closing time. 2am is a total buzzkill for me.
