I grew up in Eden -- a little bit south of Buffalo. Beautiful, small and friendly. Hamburg is a little bigger, and also very nice.

East Aurora.... quaint... not cookie-cutter....not too expensive....beautiful community... away from the rat race....OP is great too. Have lived in OP for years and love it.

What kind of a clinic? You need to check ZONING!

I suggest you look at Lancaster & Alden; both reasonably small villages, lots of old homes. Do NOT go to the south end of Lancaster -- lots of new housing. Also Marilla and Elma. All very nice, cheaper than Clarence, OP, Hamburg, and surrounding locales suggested. As will, Lancaster and Alden and Marilla actually have towns ( Marilla's is very small).

About $100K for an older home in Lancaster or Alden -- also lower or higher. ( Our land is in both towns)

I have to laugh, this is a 2006 thread, these folks are more than likely settled in somewheres already. I do agree however that Lancaster/Alden/Townline area is a great place to live.
