Smile How are the Apartments at 2439 Delaware Ave

Looking to rent an apartment. Was shown an apartment at 2439 Delaware Avenue. Does anyone know how the area is around that address?

That address is actually in Kenmore and considered a "Suberb". It has the look and feel of the city still and is probably 1000 yards from the city limits. The area is fine, a lot of foot traffic on Delware though.

This is N. Buffalo. It is tolerable, certainly not great. That building has gone thru multiple morphing changes -- you should go see it when people walk in and out ( 7-8 am and 5-7 pm and get an idea of the neighbors.

That's not Kenmore, it's North Buffalo. I can't speak to the specific building, but the neighborhood is generally nice, though I would prefer to live on one of the residential streets to the east. Delaware Avenue itself has degenerated over the years into a high-speed suburban-style arterial that can be quite dangerous (the intersection at Hertel just to the south was recently listed in the top 10 most deadly intersections in the entire county).

There are other apartment buildings in the area on quieter residential streets, and even Hertel would be an improvement as far as I am concerned.

No, actually, Delaware & Hertel was cited last year as the 4th most dangerous (intersection in Erie County, in terms of injuries to pedestrians and bicyclists between 2006 and 2008.
