Default Please Help I need some advice

Hi All,

I'm a 60 year old man who just immigrated to Buffalo,NY with my 58 year old wife, we are both greencard holders. I'm trying to look for an appartment to rent but everyone keeps asking me for credit history or a co-signer and I don't have both since I just immigrated to this country.

Can somebody please tell me what to do or give me an advice ASAP.

Please reply ASAP,

Thank you all so much,

Hany

Lately, it seems like refugees from Burma, Bhutan and the Congo are big in Upstate NY cities now. Before that, it was SE Asians(especially Vietnamese) and East Africans(mainly from Sudan and some from Somalia), with some Bosnians. In Buffalo, it seems like a lot of them are in the old Italian neighborhoods on the Westside. That is what is happening here in Syracuse, as many are in the old, once mostly Italian inner Northside neighborhoods. Interesting.......

I second the International Institute. They kind of specialize in helping new arrivals negotiate the various hurdles involved in getting settled in Buffalo.

The International Institute can also set you up with things like negotiating transportation, shopping, language lessons, etc. They have done this for many, many years.
