My husband is always looking for old tools. I never know what he picks up where... might have bought stuff there. I didn't. We went thru about 5 that day. I was just surpised to see a pool inground taking up the entire backyard!

Thats right! The houses become rentals because the area and schools are so bad nobody will purchase them. After a few years of being rented out to lower income and social services the houses begin to fall apart with crime and rats spreading in from the West end to the East end.

Who cares if theres a high concentration of muslims? I personally could care less, I grew up with them. In fact, one of my best friends was related to one of the six. The only Muslims you have to be afraid of are the ones calling themselves Al Qaida, and they live in the middle east. Get a clue man, you really know nothing of the area except what you hear "on the news" or driving by. Try living there, its bad, but certainly not as bad as you say. Most socio-economic groups that fall into the low end of the income pool live in less desirable places-- no need to bash them for it.

For the record, Irry, if you are still looking the the area, the FEMA flood maps just came out redrawn and it lets lots of homes in the city off and adds more in other neighborhoods. Lots of people are very upset. If you are in the flood plain, yo have to pay flood insurance.

US Geological Survey & US Corps of Engineers used to do the maps -- seems FEMA took over. Also looks like they don't have a clue what they are doing.
