They were a chain - two I used to go in -- one in the plaza at Great Arrow/Delaware, another in Kenmore south of Sheridan on Delaware -- basically, you had them all over. I think there was one in a plaza at Main and Transit (south of Main) -- same floor plan, counter, and it is still a little restaurant.
One I remember in the Delton Plaza in Tonawanda on Deleware just south of the Youngman Hwy..another on Deleware near Kenmore across from the Delta Sonic
Minor correction: The Delton plaza and the Your Host it once contained are (were) just north of the Youngman Expressway, not south. I frequented that Your Host more than a few times at very late hours. That is if we didn't go to the one at Midcity Plaza in North Tonawanda.
wasn't there a Your Host on the corner of Warren Ave. and Delaware in Kenmore? I also remember one on the corner of Westgate and Delaware Avenue. Am I correct? Late 1960s
There was one in East Aurora at the Aurora Village Shopping Center. I used to have lunch there and they would wash the floors with Ammonia during lunch and it was all I could do to keep my food down. There was one at the Harlem Sheridan Plaza as well, one night my friend ate a wow (monster burger with fried onions) and passed out (enough grease to keep your car running for a month). I remember Strawberry Short Cake was abbreviated Strawberry Sht Cake on the check.
My best friend and I has endless laughs about their commercials with the late Bob Wells
