Default Moving to Niagara Falls

I'm a 25 year old planning on moving to Niagara Falls (or the surrounding area) in the coming months, and would appreciate any advice on where to live. I'm moving from NYC so enjoy apartment buildings, but am open to any neighborhood that is nice and relatively safe. Thanks for any help!

There is a few , but I don't know what they are Im sure someone does though. There is definitely areas in NF you want to avoid as well. Even being as small of a city as it is

You will actually want to avoid most areas of Niagara Falls. There are a couple of nice pockets, but they would likely be single family residential rather than apartment buildings. I would suggest you look in surrounding areas like Tonawanda, Williamsville, Sanborn or Lewiston.

I'll be working in NF, so figure it could be easier than commuting. Any specific pockets to look for? Thanks everyone for the advice

imho find an apartment outside of NF, your commute wont be that far. I assume you are looking to rent? correct? Lots of nice doubles, (2 families) for rent outside of the Falls, that would be the direction I would go in
colleen

Hi Eric. I've lived in Niagara Falls for about 15 years now. There's downtown, where the casino is and lower income with majority of crime, there's the deveau area that has nicer older/cool archtecture homes, a kind of mid town is Hyde Park, I live in LaSalle where it's nicer than down town or mid-town but not as nice as Deveau. LaSalle has access to the Niagara River for kayaking/boating. We also have two major grocery store sand two malls: the Summit and Fashion Outlets (which is currently invaded by canadians because of their strong dollar). I guess it really depends where you're going to be working and I can really help you be right where you want to be. I can even mail you some Niagara Gazette classifieds.
