Regarding the Thruway Mall in Cheektowaga, NY ... there was a pizza restaurant in this mall which had animated bands. Childrens birthday parties could be held there. It was not Chuck E Cheese. Does anyone at all remember the name of this Pizza Restaurant in the Thruway Mall ???

It was Chuck E Cheese when it first opened but then it was something else, Showbiz Pizza I think.

Does anyone remember during the 80's having giant gingerbread houses built downtown in what I believe was the convention center? My Mother says it was in Canada but I said it was here in Buffalo because I remember after going to see them we went to AM&A's.

The Hyatt hotel does a giant gingerbread house in their restaurant at Christmastime, and has done so since the '80s. It is quite near the convention center - perhaps that's what you are thinking of?

Miss safe neighborhoods, public bus service (NFT), neighborhood bars, clean parks. IN other words I miss the 50's and
60's.

I miss the 50 and 60's too..I recently went back to Buffalo thinking I missed Buffalo..turns out I miss the Buffalo from the 1950-60's and my experiences as a child growing up there..connected very little to the Buffalo of today..so much changed..quite a revelation for me..cheers
