And all I have personally seen so far is the Naval park and a 15 minute walking radius around Niagara Square and the McKinley Monument during daylight hours. I have GOT to see one of your sunsets and whatever that place is at 2:12. Absolutely AMAZING ❤
Around downtown, check out the Prudential (Guaranty Building) in downtown Buffalo, which was built by Louis Sullivan and is one of the first "skyscrapers" built in the US. Then take in the Ellicott Square Building which at one time was the largest office building in the world I think. The Old Post Office Building is now part of Erie Community College, and Buffalo's City Hall is an art deco masterpiece. It has a wonderful observation deck where you can see the entire city.
Take a walk or bus/taxi ride up Delaware Avenue to Delaware Park, and then down Richmond to Symphony Circle. Wander around Allentown's side streets like Mariner, Park, Irving Place, North Pearl. Franklin Street is a gem, too.
If you're for the week-end, it will be a good one to roam around the city.
The place at 2:12 is Soldiers Circle, which is the intersection of three of Buffalo's tree-lined parkways: Chapin, Lincoln, and Bidwell. It is surrounded by gorgeous mansions.
Thanks! Yes, Buffalo is a very beautiful city. There are so many grand old streets and buildings, and lots of hidden little nooks and crannies as well. There's some random, funky little neighborhoods too (check out Allentown) and everything is filled with interesting history. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Us residents love it too :-)
