Being from Buffalo and living in SoCal and now NorCal, the distance between Buffalo and NYC and LA and Silicone Valley is comparable. I have driven both, the only thing is in NY the drivers are slower on the freeway, but I have done both in roughly the same time frame.
Im tired of california maybe its just me but EVERYTHING is more expensive and Im eager to come back home and be able to relax a little. Not to mention TRAFFIC !!!! OMG traffic for days. California is so OVERRATED Also better food in Buffalo...
As far as music I honestly don't know.. I mean Hollywood is the entertainment capital of the world so I would suggest doing some digging.. maybe Even NYC.
Like me and anyone else just remember you can always go home !!!
You'd need to get your visa and commute to Toronto. I choose NYC though.
There is no art industry in Buffalo. An arts industry usually requires a huge city with tons of rich investors to fund the events, record companies, and other entertainment industries. The stretch between Buffalo, Cleveland and Detroit I think is the poorest in our country. On the other hand, Toronto make up a bustling music scene.
You do not have to move to LA, though, just because it's hollywood. I would try NYC instead.
