Nice photos...I particularly like some of the housing styles.
The row houses were cool...are there many of them?
Where was the Jim Carrey movie, which featured some brownstones?

Filmed entirely at the Universal backlot. We were actually there when they were filming it. It was a kick when the tram driver pointed out the Eyewitness News cruiser and Buffalo News paper box. None of the actors ever made it to Buffalo though some exterior shots were edited into the film.
Of course there are plenty of productions being filmed around town this year.

I really enjoyed the galleries too. I actually looked at most. Sad to see so many shuttered, it must be hard for people returning to their childhood neighborhoods to see everything is gone.

Gorgeous photos. Thanks for sharing the link. I can't wait to visit/tour a lot of those places myself.

Some of the pictures I am in awe, some I think "they don't build them like they used to," and some makes me just plain sad. The mix of pictures give me the same impression as when I look at ancient Rome, a very impressive city set back in time. I really hope these buildings don't dilapidate any further.
Some of my favorites from the set, Shea's, the Elicott Square building and the Canadiana.
