Exurbs are usually communities undergoing a transformation from a rural atmosphere to more of a suburban one. They are found outside of a city's suburbs. Are any of these towns exurbs of Buffalo? Will any of these become exurbs soon?

Wheatfield is the fastest growing town/municupality in WNY and it may be viewed as more of a suburb of Niagara Falls. Pendleton is served by the Starpoint SD just south of Lockport and I believe that it is another town that has seen recent population growth. According to 2010-2014 census info., the Starpoint Central SD is the second fastest growing school district in the Buffalo metro area since the 2005-2009 census information(10.91% and Clarence is 1st in the area). Aurora surrounds the village of East Aurora and has held steady, give or take, in terms of population.

Buffalo doesn't really have any of that because it is shrinking.

Actually, Wheatfield has gone from 9,609 people in 1980 to 18,320 people according to a 2014 population estimate. Again, it has been the fastest growing town in WNY.

Pendleton has gone from 4,726 in 1980 to 6,557 according to a 2014 population estimate.

Lockport(town) had a population 12,942 in 1980 and has a population of 20,260 according to a 2014 population estimate(was 20,529 in 2010).

Clarence in 1980 had 18,146 people and has 31,769 people according to a 2014 population estimate.

Newstead(Akron SD, with a small portion in the Clarence SD) in 1980 had 6,322 people and has 8,662 people according to the 2014 population estimate.

Most of the other towns on the list have held steady in population, give or take.

Actually Wheatfield built some new nursing homes & assist living homes between 2010 to 2014
so they probably actually lost population if you didn't count the people in the assist living homes

If Wheatfield is the fast growing town in WNY and there Summit Park Mall is all Empty,

This post doesn't make any sense. I think almost doubling your population in 30-35 years is more than just nursing homes and assist living homes.

Also, malls are dying in many areas, with walkability and living/shopping centers becoming increasingly popular.

I was recently in Wheatfield, and I saw quite a few either brand new or very recently built homes by the Hockey Outlet.
