There's a small Muslim community on the East Side. There's a mosque on East Ferry I think, and community is further south of that towards Broadway. However, that's not a really good neighborhood, so you may not like it. Housing prices are cheap, though.

If you are middle income, you might look in Amherst. Because of SUNY Buffalo, the town has a lot more diversity than most suburbs. There are many foreign faculty and students, some of whom are undoubtedly Muslim.

Amherst would be my suggestion. There is band new mosque right off Transit Rd., north of N. French in Swormville.

Lackawanna has Muslims....terrorists too!!! They were on the news....maybe you saw them!!! Yep!! Lackawanna has muslims. LOTS!!!

what about HERTEL and NIAGARA area???
I don't know a TON about Buffalo (beyond basics...).
Any thoughts? Some affordable properties in the area..

Solution: you live in the suburbs, not the city. Commuting into the city of Buffalo from the suburbs is easier and faster than almost any other metro area in the nation.
