When I was a child living in Buffalo and after we moved, we were sure to visit McPartlan's, the best fish fry I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Roast Beef on wick, Ted's hot dogs and McPartlan's fish fry's...well..the best.

You spell it Weck, but it can be pronounced either weck or wick. I've heard both.

I've been eating fish fry's at Kentucky Greg's on George Urban in Cheektowaga/Depew lately. It's really a BBQ place, which also has absolutely fabulous BBQ, but they also do a good fish fry on Friday.

Buffalo fish fry
Ok I am trying to remember the rest. name ... it is on main about 1 mile past the UB campus on the left as you are heading downtown. the ambiance, food and service are all great and you have a choice of fry or grill...I think it is called ' the steer ' may not sound like a fish fry place but that is what I had and it was great...

Wow, is the Steer still there? Cool! Never had a fish fry there, but knew some people who enjoyed hanging out there a number of years back!
