Default Apartments in Village Setting

My husband and I currently live in Allentown in Buffalo, and when our lease expires in June, we'd like to get a larger place. Ideally, we'd like it to be in a village setting where we can walk to stores, restaurants and attractions, as we share one car, and I'd like to be able to get out of the house when the car is not available. Elmwood Village or a village in the suburbs would be ideal.

Does anyone know of large 2-bedroom apartments that include heat, are $900/mo. or less and are within walking distance to stores, ect.?

We have an appointment to look at the Village Center apartments in Orchard Park next weekend.
