If you like raspberry flavored bbq sause, you have to go to Honey's up in Niagara Falls. Their Buffalo style is second next to Duff's

Another Vote for Duffs. You can smell those wings cooking for miles on a Saturday night.
If you do go on the weekend to Duffs on Sheridan drive, be prepared to wait a bit for a seat. Well worth it though.

You people have my mouth watering right now, I'm about ready to kill for an order of Duff's wings and a beef on 'weck. I love Idaho but really miss Buffalo food, you can't get a decent order of wings here . What they call "Buffalo Wings" are served with ranch dressing...now that's just wrong. I wish someone would open a resturant out here that served good wings, 'weck, pizza and subs from something other than a national chain.
One think I came to appreciate in the west is the good microbrew beer. When I left WNY in '94 the only microbrewery I knew of was the Buffalo Brewpub, IIRC on Transit somewhere around Eastern Hills Mall. Are microbrews more common there now? If not, someone grab a trunkload of wings, I'll do the same with Black Butte Porter and Alaskan Amber, and meet you in the middle!
I'm going to go open a bottle of Franks hot sauce, vinegar, take a deep breath and dream...

Sorry, but even Wegman's offer some decent small brewery beer. Also, I can walk over to a pub on Elmwood and have them refill a growler with some decent local brews.

I have to say that even though many times the first place who did it aren't always the best - the Anchor Bar IMO rules over other hot spots in the Buffalo area for the best wings. Duff's is certainly just as good and even has a larger variety, but the atmosphere and history as being the first place as the Anchor Bar creates the Buffalo Wing as scrumptious chicken wings that much more tastier. Yummmmm...

Down in Jacksonville, NC you have to ask them NOT to bread the chicken wings and they serve them with ranch too. But in 6 months I will be back in Buffalo for good!
