Default good hair salon in williamsville are

Help, I am new to the area and I am looking for a really good place to have my hair colored and cut. Please do not tell me Capello's I tried 2 different people there and my hair is just not what I want. It seems all they want to do is cut my hair really short and while a lot of girls have short hair here It is not what I want. I am looking for a place in Clarence Amhest or Williamsville.I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Default Salon Help

I just moved back to Buffalo from DC 6 weeks ago and, although I grew up here, had a similar dilemma. I was really worried about finding someplace good (I have always disliked Capello and cringed whenever someone recommended them to me as a good place). My cousin, who is very stylish and takes meticulous care of herself, recommended R Salon to me. They are on Transit near Main Street (across from the plaza with TJ Maxx and FWS). It doesn't look like much from the street, but it's cute on the inside and back entrance (they really should do something about the curb appeal on the Transit Road side). Anyway, I recommend Michelle, the owner, for the cut, and Tara for color. They both spent time with me beforehand to find out what I wanted and I was very happy with both of them. The cut and full-head of highlights (she used three colors of blonde and it looks very natural), not including tip, was about $120 (cosiderably less than what I paid in DC).

I am very particular about my hair so I am comfortable recommeding them. I hope they work out for you, too. Good luck and welcome to Buffalo!

Thanks for the recommendation. I had a similar question and was looking for a reliable salon. I tried the one in eastern hills mall and they really cut my hair short. I will definitely try R salon, as I am thinking of getting my hair colored for the first time.

Default Salon Help

I hope you like them. I definitely had no problem with them cutting it too short - I like my hair to fall just below the break (about an inch below my shoulder line) and that's how it was cut. It fell into place nicely when I styled it myself. I also like my color to look natural and not "stripey". Tara used three shades of blonde (none of which was bleach) and it looked very natural.

What I liked was that each of them told me to see how I liked it after a couple of days and to let them know if they could make any adjustments.

I hope you have a similar experience - there's nothing worse than a bad cut and color! Good luck!

Try Silk Spa & Salon which is brand new in Clarence. Give them a call at 995-SILK. Make an appointment with Christina (my girlfriend). She has flyers for 30% of your first visit. This place is very nice and obvious they put alot of money into it. If you give it a shot be sure to report back on how it went.
