I read that article last week. To me, just like all other waves of immigrants of the past, it all boils down to having a steady job, adequate cost of living, and opportunities to thrive and succeed. This is becoming widely studied in a subfield of urban planning loosely titled "intercultural planning" with city policy and planning done through the lens of multiple groups as they survive in the environment. As long as the City recognizes threats to the planning and ward them off, the movement can continue to be sustainable.
